The American Lebanese Policy Institute Political Action Committee strongly condemns the violent attack targeting a Jewish synagogue in Michigan. Acts of violence against places of worship are attacks on the core freedoms that define the United States, including religious liberty, public safety, and the rule of law.

Targeting a house of worship is not merely an attack on one community; it is an assault on the principles of coexistence and pluralism that allow diverse societies to thrive. There can be no tolerance for acts of hatred or intimidation directed against people because of their faith.

The Lebanese-American community has long been committed to the values of freedom, respect for religious diversity, and peaceful coexistence. Generations of Lebanese immigrants have built their lives in the United States on these principles, contributing to a society where individuals of all faiths can live and worship safely.

ALPI PAC also recognizes and appreciates the continued commitment of the United States to defending democratic values and supporting a sovereign and independent Lebanon. American leadership has long played an important role in helping the Lebanese people pursue a future grounded in legitimate state institutions, stability, and freedom from militia control and extremism.

Extremism, whether expressed through terrorism, militia domination, or violence against civilians and religious institutions, must be confronted and rejected wherever it appears.

ALPI PAC stands in solidarity with the Jewish community and with all Americans who remain committed to protecting religious liberty, rejecting hatred, and defending the democratic values that unite us.
