Washington, D.C., February 23, 2026

The American Lebanese Policy Institute, Political Action Committee – ALPI PAC- commends Congressman Max Miller for co-sponsoring H.R. 7311, the Lebanon Election Integrity and Diaspora Voting Protection Act of 2026, alongside Representatives Darrell Issa and Darin LaHood. This important legislation reinforces the critical role of free, fair, and transparent parliamentary elections in safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty and democratic future. It also affirms the fundamental right of Lebanese citizens living abroad, including the vibrant Lebanese American diaspora, to participate fully and without obstruction in Lebanon’s democratic process.

“Congressman Max Miller’s leadership in co-sponsoring this legislation sends a powerful message that the United States stands firmly for democratic accountability, diaspora voting rights, and Lebanese sovereignty. A stable and democratic Lebanon is vital to the Lebanese people and is directly aligned with the strategic interests of the United States,” said Paul Elhindi, President of ALPI PAC.

By protecting diaspora voting rights and strengthening electoral transparency, this legislation advances democratic accountability and counters foreign interference. ALPI PAC remains committed to working with Members of Congress from both parties to advance policies that promote Lebanese sovereignty, strengthen democratic governance, counter foreign interference, and support long-term economic and political stability in Lebanon.
