At a time when real, principled leadership is more critical than ever, Congressman LaHood exemplifies the values that have long defined our nation: faith, family, freedom, and fiscal responsibility. Since entering Congress, he has been a steadfast voice for hardworking American families, small businesses, and energy independence, all while prioritizing national security and putting America first.

His legislative track record speaks for itself. Through consistent votes for tax relief and deregulation, Congressman LaHood has helped families keep more of their hard-earned income, an especially important achievement amid rising inflation and economic uncertainty.

In the face of Hezbollah’s growing threat and the destabilizing influence of Iran, he has taken bold, principled action, championing the disarmament of militias, calling for the full implementation of United Nations Resolutions 1559 and 1701, and standing firmly behind the Lebanese Armed Forces as the sole legitimate defender of Lebanon’s sovereignty.

His leadership on this front has been clear and consistent. His resolution, H.Res. 1077, which passed unanimously in the House Foreign Affairs Committee in 2020, was a strong statement of U.S. support for Lebanon’s sovereignty. More recently, his 2024 letter to President Biden urged sanctions on Lebanon’s Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, for obstructing the presidential election process, a powerful message in defense of democracy and against foreign-backed militancy.

These are not just policy positions, they are lifelines of hope for the Lebanese people and the Lebanese

American community. Congressman LaHood has not supported this cause from a distance; he has listened to our voices, engaged with our community, and shown deep respect for our heritage. His actions reflect his values as a proud Lebanese American and a true public servant.
